30 Day Yoga Challenge — Hello first Monday of 2021 and the first workday of the new year! I really enjoyed my downtime over the holidays. I fully allowed myself to indulge in the foods I love and to get lost in the magical world of Christmas, where I can choose to focus on all things fun, light and happy.
The holidays were wonderful. And not only did I enjoy my time, I also feel like I needed it more than ever. After the difficult year we just had, it was the perfect medicine to help me reset and rebuild.
And now it’s back to the real world. This time right after the holidays can be tough. The stress and hecticness of life can feel particularly overwhelming because it feels like a complete contrast to the last few weeks. It’s during this time that I start to see a rise in my anxious and depressed feelings. Because of this, I try to intentionally incorporate more self-care into my routine. I try my best to be nourishing my mind, body, and spirit, and yoga is often a big part of that.
I consider myself to be a beginner at yoga. I don’t do it nearly as much as I’d like to. But each time I do, I notice a positive difference in my overall well-being. My favourite place to turn to for it is YouTube.
This morning, on my search for a yoga routine to follow along to, I came across this video and then learned about this awesome 30 day yoga journey. And I couldn’t wait to share it with you!
I’ve been a fan of Yoga With Adriene‘s YouTube channel for a while now. It’s become my go-to online resource anytime I’m looking to practice some yoga during my day.
