Baileys Espresso Martini — Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It wouldn’t be a celebration at our house without some good ol’ Irish cream – Baileys Irish cream, to be exact. Fellow Baileys lovers, where you at???
All of the yums!
Baileys has the magical ability of taking something that’s already the yummiest and increasing the YUM by a jillion. Take a cheesecake, for instance, already so delicious, right?? But make that a Baileys cheesecake, and we’ve just entered a whole new world of yumminess. And how about your already perfect cup of morning coffee?? The best, right? But, add in a little Baileys, and who knew perfect could get any perfect-ER? Magic, I tell ya! Pure magic.
Naturally, on this day of Irish celebration, I wanted to share another one of these Baileys Irish Cream gems – the espresso martini!
Most of us know and love a good ol’ espresso martini. I mean, if you’ve watched any season of Below Deck, you FOR SURE have heard of it (they’re always ordering it, amirite?!). Today, I’m taking a yummy espresso martini and adding a little Irish to it. How bad can that be? (Ina Garten reference for the win!)
So, what’s in a traditional espresso martini?
- a little bit of freshly brewed espresso, cooled
- a little bit of vodka
- a little bit of coffee-flavoured liqueur (like Kahlua)
The Baileys version just replaces the coffee liqueur. It couldn’t get any simpler!
the baileys espresso martini :: recipe
- 2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream
- 2 ounces freshly brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/2 ounce Vodka
- Add all ingredients to a shaker and (you guessed it!) shake, shake, shake
- Pour into a pretty martini glass
- Garnish with adorable little coffee beans
Yep, it’s basically a martini glass filled with Baileys – SO.GOOD. Hope you enjoy this deliciousness! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! And have a good one, loves! xx, Amanda
