There is just something about a freestanding bathtub. Am I right??? They are almost fairytale-like, aren’t they?? Especially the traditional clawfoot ones… I mean, how can you not feel totally royal bathing in one? I have yet to actually bathe in one, but I would imagine!
I’m such a big believer in creating a space that you love, one that makes you happy, and brings you comfort and peace. This, to me, is a form of self-care. I’m also such a homebody, so my home truly feels like my sanctuary, my safe space. Because of this, the process of planning, creating and decorating a space that I love, fuels me.
Let it be known – I am no professional interior designer, but you don’t have to be to practice this type of self-care. My trick? I stick to what makes me feel good about my space, rather than on what colours match. I try to focus on creating an atmosphere, rather than on what the latest decor trend is.
Which brings me back to the lovely freestanding bathtub. It just makes me happy. I have yet to own my very own, but I’m hoping to have one of these beauties in my dream home one day. *manifest, manifest, manifest* ?
As I add these lovely tubs to my vision board, I thought I’d post some of my favourites here as well. I’m hoping to also inspire you to create a space that makes you happy – whether that space includes a freestanding bathtub or not!
