Monday Muse — Who else looks forward to Pantone’s Colour of The Year?? I find it to be such a great source of inspiration and a total boost to my creativity. A glimpse of the colour opens up my mind to new ways of decorating my space and even new ways of putting an outfit together. Love!

This year, Pantone announced TWO colours of the year, which I’ve never seen before. Their choices: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating (a bright yellow). They describe this combo as:
“A marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.”
Illuminating representing cheerfulness, warmth, and optimism. Ultimate Gray representing dependability, steadiness, and resilience. A beautifully balanced pair.

I’m loving these colours together. Yellow can be a difficult colour to decorate with because of how bold and in-your-face it is. But I love having little touches of it throughout my space – it makes me happy! And grey is the perfect calming neutral to pair with it.
