Monday Muse — I have a confession to make. I love reality tv. And when it comes to guilty pleasures, the real housewives franchise is the guiltiest!
For me, it’s the best kind of distraction from all that is stressful in the world. There’s just something so intriguing about their lifestyles – their beautiful homes, fancy cars, designer clothing; it’s all so fascinating. And all of their silly drama – it’s hilarious and entertaining, and a welcomed break from the real world. My brain gets to turn off for an hour and get immersed into this silly world of money, drama, friendship, and fun.
Are you a fellow housewives fan?? Let me know in the comments below!
Last night, the Real Housewives of Potomac aired, and if you’ve been following them along like I have, you’d know that their cast trip was to Madeira Island in Portugal this year. How gorgeous does Madeira look??
It’s been on my bucket list of places to visit for many years now, and now more than ever, it’s somewhere I wish to be right now! It’s funny to even imagine a world where travelling was something we could do, just like that. This pandemic has really shone a light on the things I’ve always taken for granted, like getting on a plane and waking up in someplace new in the world. It’s like that good old saying. You don’t appreciate something until it’s gone. And the pandemic has taken a whole lot from us. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!
So, until travelling becomes a reality again, I’ll just continue daydreaming. And with this gorgeous island on my mind, it’s only fitting that it’s featured on this week’s Monday Muse. Browse through my gallery of all things Madeira. Happy Monday! xx, Amanda
