MY STORY
Hi there, I’m Amanda
And I want YOU to make your well-being a priority.
I started Tulip & Sage, a blog dedicated to inspiring our readers to build their self-love and life-love, after years of self-hate and putting the needs of others first. After reaching complete burnout a few years back, I realized something needed to change in my life. I was depressed, my anxiety was worse than ever, and my negative thoughts were keeping me from moving forward. Deep inside, I was determined to find self-love and true happiness, which led me to a lil something called self-care.
I am not a licensed therapist, only a girl who is on a lifelong journey of self-acceptance. The information and worksheets in this workbook, and on my blog, are all based on what has helped me with my mental health, self-love, and overall well-being. I created this workbook to help you notice your negative thinking patterns, learn and practice how to challenge them, and to encourage you to focus on aspects of life that bring you joy. I have no doubt that this workbook will help you do just that.
Step 1: Recognize Negative Self-Talk
Negative self-talk is subtle and automatic. We often don’t know it’s even happening. Because of this, we must practice noticing it. Not sure how to practice? Not to worry – this workbook is designed to help you do just that! It provides multiple worksheets to help you through this process. From monthly trackers to a daily calendar, you are bound to find a worksheet (or worksheets!) that work best for you.
Here’s What’s Included:
♡ Negative Self-Talk Subpersonality Type Tracker
♡ Distorted Thinking Tracker
♡ Feelings vs Thoughts Worksheet [A place to practice separating feelings from thoughts]
♡ My Safe Space Written Worksheet [A place to journal in written form]
♡ Undated Daily Calendar [A place to record daily self-talk, in addition to scheduling, inspiration, gratitude and wellness]

Step 2: Challenge Negative Self-Talk
Our negative self-talk has been formed from years of unhealthy thinking patterns. Because of this, challenging it takes repetition and practice. To turn unhelpful, irrational thoughts into positive and supportive ones, we need to put in the time and effort to work on ourselves.
This workbook includes worksheets to help you challenge your negative self-talk in two ways: 1) by questioning how rational it is, and 2) by countering it with positive counterstatements.

Here’s What’s Included:
♡ Challenging Negative Self-Talk: Questioning Worksheet [A place to practice rational questioning]
♡ Coping Strategies Worksheet [A place to explore your coping strategies]
♡ Challenging Negative Self-Talk: Positive Counterstatements [A place to practice writing positive counterstatements]
♡ Challenging Cognitive Distortions [A place to practice writing rational counterstatements]

Step 3: Practice Positivity
In addition to challenging our negative self-talk, building our self-love and focusing on things that bring us joy are also important to creating a more positive, supportive mindset.
Practicing positive counterstatements is one way of learning to think more positively, boosting our self-esteem and gratitude are other ways.
Here’s What’s Included:
♡ A Space for Self-Love Worksheet [A place to express the things you love about yourself]
♡ My Grateful Heart Worksheet [A place to express all that you are grateful for]
