Homemade Stovetop Christmas Potpourri — Life is full of simple joys – those sweet everyday moments that can transport us, even for a second, to a more peaceful, joyful moment in time. The smell of Christmas is one of those special simple joys.
During the holiday season, I’m consciously making an effort to maximize this simple joy. It’s become a form of self-care for me, a way to boost my mood almost instantly. And although I’ve got my fair share of pine and peppermint-scented candles around the house, there’s nothing quite like the scent that comes from a homemade stovetop potpourri.
The fragrance is richer and bursts throughout the entire home. Just heavenly.
Last weekend, I picked up some fresh cranberries (because Christmas!) and had my mind set on using them in ALL the festive ways. A stovetop scent was the first to come to mind.
Today, I’m sharing my latest DIY holiday scent adventure with you in hopes of inspiring you to do something that brings you joy. Even if it just means throwing a whole bunch of things in a big ol’ pot! 🙃
I grabbed this lovely potpourri recipe from Boxwood Avenue. Be sure to check it out!
Below, you’ll find a breakdown of how I made mine. Happy Thursday! xx, Amanda
